Video Games: Before It Is Too Late or a Horizon Without Limits…

Since I was child, I do not enjoy video games and toys. Even when I see somebody playing, I have no desire at all to play with them. But reading about them is different issue. I really enjoy reading about it because it is maybe a part of my general interest in media. Yet it really seam the future media, the alternative media, and the unimaginable matter is to be an alternative life with all it aspects that we know, and the aspects that we do not know yet because we are in the beginning of discovering this world. Should we but roles on video games? It might be the appropriate time before we can not control it any more. But our controlling might deprive humanity from a horizon without limits.

Embarrasment with a Couple from Scotland

My life is full of embarrassments moments. I feel embarrass some time in some moments that when I think about it I see no reason at all to feel embarrass in this moments. My latest feeling was when I was talking with couple from Scotland. At the beginning the conversation went smoothly, then suddenly I felt coldness in my hands, stumbling in my words and shaking in my body.
I think about it now, really I can not find a reason except if I was enjoying the conversation too much.

it is a painful decision to do experiments on animals.

In the question of doing experiments on animal to save human lives, I think it is too complicated to think about ethically by looking for an yes or no answer. I think the appropriate approach is to discuss what are the values that we respect regarding this issue and consider it as ultimate values and try to reach it. It is for sure a respectable value to save a human being. And it is also respectable value to save animals from any kind of pain. So let us do experiments on animals for now but in the same time we should improve laps and computers experiments.

Female, male, and communcation

About the different between the female communication and the male communication, here is this story…

Once, at the beginning of talking with a lady who I am used to talk with her, she told me I want to till you something.

- "Ok. Go ahead"

- "But before I start, I want to tell you that I want you to talk with me in a special way."

-"I want you to talk with me the way my sisters talk with me!" She continued.

She said that like if her sisters were the most famous people in the world. And like if they have certain style that is taught in the universities all around the world. In fact, I myself have never talked with them except for two times or three.

Anyway, because I didn't want to upset her I said ok. I thought what she meant that she just wants to talk, just to tell what inside her. May be just wants to share it with somebody. I thought I am smart enough to understand that she didn't want me to interrupt her or give her my opinion. Listen and nod. This is all what I need to do.

She started talking and I started to try to be her sisters (which sister??). I concentrated, said (yes, you're right, that's true and all the synonym I know to these words), and things looked they were going great.

After she finished talking she asked what I thought.

- I think you're right.

But I got shocked when she said:

- No, I want you're real opinion!

If this was not my real opinion then the opposite was mine. But did she really want to hear my opinion? Was that what she meant when she said I want you to talk like my sisters?

I don't know…

Hope you know…

All what I know that I'm not the right person to answer Jennifer's question about the differences between the female and male communication.

you will find resistance from people who believes in creation. Though, when you tel them about the theory of evolution, like the ability that viruses have to get use to certain type of drugs for example, they will accept it.
remember something, don't till them this is part from the evulotion theoury.

the whole idea of the theoury is based on that all the creatures come from the same creature.

With English, One Year Now

In august 2007, I came to study English in Montreal. At that time, I thought by one year I'll be fluent in English. We are in September 2008 now, and unfortunately, this is not the case. I'm still struggling with my English, and founding troubles with expressing, sometimes, even simple ideas. But on the other hand, I guess my English has improved.

One of the things that have helped me a lot that I met through my English courses, either at Mgcill or Concordia some good teachers who I've benefited from them a lot. In fact this benefit was not only limited in the language aspect. It was in different life and cultural aspects. I still have a nice and friendly relationship with some of them. We meet from time to time, phone each other, and do emailing.

One of the things also was that I looked when I first came to Montreal to a conversation Partner (one whose first language is English and has an interest in learning Arabic). I was lucky that I found Walter who turned to be a good friend of
Mine. Walter and I are in the same age and share many common interest. This helped the conversation sessions to keep going. We meet twice a week. One hour in English and one hour in Arabic.

Watching T.V also has helped. I noticed that concentrating my watching only on English programs and films has increased my listening skills. I watch T.V for this purpose one to two hours a day.

This is part of my experience.

Hope yours is better than mine…
