About the different between the female communication and the male communication, here is this story…
Once, at the beginning of talking with a lady who I am used to talk with her, she told me I want to till you something.
- "Ok. Go ahead"
- "But before I start, I want to tell you that I want you to talk with me in a special way."
-"I want you to talk with me the way my sisters talk with me!" She continued.
She said that like if her sisters were the most famous people in the world. And like if they have certain style that is taught in the universities all around the world. In fact, I myself have never talked with them except for two times or three.
Anyway, because I didn't want to upset her I said ok. I thought what she meant that she just wants to talk, just to tell what inside her. May be just wants to share it with somebody. I thought I am smart enough to understand that she didn't want me to interrupt her or give her my opinion. Listen and nod. This is all what I need to do.
She started talking and I started to try to be her sisters (which sister??). I concentrated, said (yes, you're right, that's true and all the synonym I know to these words), and things looked they were going great.
After she finished talking she asked what I thought.
- I think you're right.
But I got shocked when she said:
- No, I want you're real opinion!
If this was not my real opinion then the opposite was mine. But did she really want to hear my opinion? Was that what she meant when she said I want you to talk like my sisters?
I don't know…
Hope you know…
All what I know that I'm not the right person to answer Jennifer's question about the differences between the female and male communication.
